Lancaster & Morecambe College is a regional provider of technical, professional and creative education, focused on providing young people and adults with the skills and knowledge to enable them to progress into employment or on to further study.

The College can trace its roots back to 1824 and will celebrate 200 years of continued technical education in Lancaster and Morecambe during 2024.

The College has a clear purpose – creating opportunities and building partnerships across our community; empowering individuals, business and the environment to thrive. This purpose is based on two clear guiding principles of employer led technical, professional and creative education, producing work ready college graduates, with an unerring commitment to community cohesion, social justice and providing opportunities for all.

The College was judged to be ‘good’ by Ofsted in March 2020. The College’s excellent facilities are designed to meet or exceed industry standards and enable students to choose from a wide range of work related courses from Level 1 to Level 5.

Over 90% of students progress positively into work, further and higher study. As a key apprenticeship provider in the local area, the College has links to over 700 employers, delivering apprenticeships across 30 occupational areas and works closely with local employers to equip its graduating students to be well placed to secure employment with businesses across the region, or to progress on to further study.
