Moving On

Project overview

NB – delivery of this project will end on 31st March 2023

The Lancashire Colleges (TLC) secured funding in 2016 from the European Social Fund (ESF) and the Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) for its ‘Moving On’ programme. Moving On provides employability skills, one to one support in English and maths and careers advice to young people aged 15 to 18 who are, or are at risk of being, ‘Not in Education, Employment or Training’ (NEET).

Over 4,650 young people have already received support through the programme and additional funding means a further 600 young people in Lancashire will be able to improve their career and life opportunities.

‘Moving On’ aims to re-engage young people through the provision of personalised packages of support to tackle attendance, attainment, performance and behavioural issues. TLC is working in partnership with colleges, training providers and specialist organisations across Lancashire to deliver the programme. Preston College is the lead accountable body.
